Today marks the birth day of one of Akwa Ibom most influential personalities. A paradigm of a visionary leader, a dogged and learned individual, an icon of fairness and equity in the temple of justice, a primus interpare. A man with such a big heart.

Chairman, Etim Ekpo L.G.A, a one time Commissioner of Rural and Urban Development, a one time Commissioner of Special Duties in the era of the uncommon transformer, His Excellency Chief Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON now one of the most vibrant Senators in the Senate and a Minority Leader of the People's Democratic Party, PDP. Also, he has been a one time Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Investment in the Dec. Udom Emmanuel led administration.
He is a seasoned and renowned Barrister in the temple of justice, a philanthropist whose philanthropic generosity cuts across diverse class of the people both the affluent and the common. He is a Leader per Excellence, an astute achiever, a true pinnacle manifest of transmogrification, a papacy of transformation, an erudite scholar, a pragmatic cum proactive leader whose style of leading is widely envied by all and sundry.

For youths empowerment programs which you have initiated in the state and her neighboring States, we are grateful. For our women support and active involvements in the state's affairs, we won't forget that in a hurry and posterity will speak of you.
