Sowore Says He Was Not Invited To Sign Peace Agreement Like Other Presidential Candidates
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has expressed displeasure as he was not called to sign the Peace Accord agreement of presidential candidates ahead of 2019 election.
President Muhammadu Buhari as well as some other presidential candidates had signed the agreement yesterday, Naija News reports.
The Peace Accord is an undertaking by all the presidential candidates to ensure peaceful and rancour-free campaigns before, during and after the 2019 general elections.

Teacher Jailed For Having S**x With Student In Her Home And Car Park.

The District Court heard she groomed a 17-year-old boy before having unlawful sex with him numerous times including at her house, at his family’s home and in public areas including in a lift and in a city car park.
Judge Liesl Chapman said Mackay drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes and cannabis with the victim and bought him expensive presents.
“In light of what you were doing and the way you were doing it, it is evident to me that you could not have been thinking straight,” Judge Chapman said.

Google Boss Appears Before Panel, Explains Why Donald Trump Comes Up In Searches For ‘Idiot’

Google’s chief executive, Sundar Pichai has told a US congressional panel why an image of President Donald Trump comes up on a google image search for “idiot”.
Zoe Lofgren, a Democratic congresswoman, had asked Pichai to explain what leads to such.
“How would that happen? How does search work so that that would occur?” she asked.
But Pichai said Google has a search algorithm that collates data from billions of web pages.
“Any time you type in a key word, we, as Google, have gone out and crawled and stored copies of… billions of [web] pages in our index and we take the key word and match it against the pages and rank them based on our 200 signals, things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it,” he said.

Ibori not Vice to Oyovbaire – Amori


A founding member and one of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State, Chief Ighoyota Amori, yesterday said former Governor James Ibori is not the Vice Chairman to Prof Sam Oyovbaire in the 2019 campaign council of the party in the state.
Speaking to Vanguard yesterday on behalf of the Ibori political family, Amori said Mr Ned Nwoko is the Deputy Chairman to Prof Sam Oyovbaire against the report in the yesterday edition of the Vanguard.

EFCC Arraigns Bank Directors Over $153million Linked To Diezani



The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to arraign Nnamdi Okonkwo, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc, and Dauda Lawal, First Bank's Executive Director, for allegedly helping a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to conceal a total of $153.3million in Fidelity Bank in 2015.

Okonkwo and Lawal, alongside Lanre Adesanya and Stanley Lawson, have been charged before the Federal High Court in Lagos. Their arraignment, which was originally scheduled for Monday before Justice Muslim Hassan, has been adjourned till December 17, 2018.

64-Year-Old Carpenter Arrested For Defiling Neighbour’s 6-Year-Old Daughter

One Habib Abdullahi, a 64-year-old carpenter, has been arrested for defiling his neighbour’s six-year-old daughter.

Abdullahi was one of the 59 suspects paraded by Imohimi Edgal, Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, on Tuesday at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State

Among the 59 suspects were 47 cultists including two females, who were arrested in different locations of the state.

Atiku Signs 2019 Election Peace Accord

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has signed the peace accord ahead of the 2019 general election.

He signed the document on Wednesday at the Bishop Kukah Centre, Abuja.
