Amnesty Call: Sultan Is Encouraging And Condoning Bloody Violence – Afenifere

he leader of pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasonrati has described the Sultan of Sokoto – Alhaji  Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar’s call for amnesty for Boko Haram as “outrageous and highly unfortunate.”
It would be recalled that the Sultan made the call at a Jama’tu Nasril Islam (JNI) council meeting in Kaduna on Tuesday where he urged President Goodluck Jonathan to immediately grant amnesty to all members of the dreaded Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, so as to encourage  them to lay down their arms.

But Pa Fasoranti, on Wednesday, in Akure said, “The Sultan’s call for Amnesty for Boko Haram is outrageous and highly unfortunate. It is an express approval of the caliphate for the mass killings, devastation and destructive activities of the dreaded sect over the years.
“I cannot imagine why a highly placed person in the calibre of Sultan be seeking amnesty for a sect whose activities had rendered many homeless and left thousands of children as orphans.
“The sultan’s call is obviously an indication that the caliphate is encouraging and condoning bloody violence. It is unheard of that the Sultan, who should speak up and denounce the evil sect, wanted them treated with kid gloves.
“Our position in Afenifere is that the Boko Haram members are evil. They should be identified and severely dealt with according to the laws of the land.”

‘Rejection of Amnesty, Humiliation To FG’

Member representing Jos South/Jos East constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bitrus Kaze, has said the idea of granting amnesty to Boko Haram is the most awkward policy ever contemplated by any government in the history of Nigeria.

He described the rejection of amnesty offered the group by President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration as “humiliating, indescribably sickening and ridiculing.”
The lawmaker in a statement in Jos on Saturday, said, “In my honest view, granting amnesty to remorseless and unrepentant terrorists is weirdest policy ever contemplated by any government in the history of Nigeria.
“I am not sure any government has suffered so much ridicule since Nigeria’s independence. Our national pride and sovereignty is being eroded by inconsistent statements and policies which are antithetical to our security and collective well being.”
He added that the pro-amnesty pronouncements and efforts so far by the government to appease the group “have been completely rubbished by the intended beneficiaries of the programme themselves; they have continued in their uncurbed destructions of lives and properties of innocent Nigerians virtually on a daily basis.”
He wondered how a government with any sense of responsibility could contemplate appeasing a group that has been terrorising and killing innocent citizens without provocation.

Pastor Atunde Has Been defiling Me Since I Was 10 ––14yrs Old Orphan Girl

Innocent girls at the Light of Hope Orphanage has finally describe how the owner of the orphanage, Pastor Olatayo Atunde, defiled them repeatedly. From outside, the Light of Hope Orphanage in Akute looks like every other orphange. But the things that go on inside are gory:
c6594feb8cdac68baa04104f7d6037ad“Daddy started sleeping with me when I was 10. I have two blood brothers at the orphanage who I reported to but they have not been able to do anything about it. On one occasion, when he was sleeping with me, I ran into another room but he chased me and warned me never to run away from him again.” ––said one of the girls he allegedly defiled.
According to Punch, the orphanage which was founded in 1996 by Pastor Atunde receives donations from multinational companies, non-governmental organisations, and other concerned members of the public who were deceived to believe that Pastor Atunde has genuine love for the vulnerable children.
However, recent s*xual allegations by some of the female inmates have shattered the positive image the orphanage once enjoyed. It all started when two young girls from the home told their secondary school teacher that they were defiled by Daddy (Pastor Atunde), who runs the facility.
One of the orphans 14-year-old Atinuke [not real name] confirmed that he slept with her and many other girls at the orphanage. Atinuke, who is now in custody of an NGO – Project Alert on Violence Against Women – said she lost her virginity to Pastor Atunde at the age of 10 and has lost count of the number of times he has had s*x with her.
She said, “I also reported the matter to the orphanage administrator, Aunty Hannah, and she said she would address the matter but daddy continued to r*pe me. Daddy usually defiled us around 2am in his room. His wife does not always sleep in his room. She sleeps at the crèche where the younger orphans are staying.”
Pastor Atunde was also alleged to have sacked one of the employees at the orphanage that dared to challenge him. Another orphan, Salewa [not real name], told Punch that she was barely 12 when he started having s*xual relations with her.
She said she had a sister at the orphanage who was in the university. Salewe disclosed that she had also caught Pastor Atunde having s*x with another orphan.
“Daddy has been having s*x with at least 10 of us. We are mostly between the ages of 8 and 14. I reported to Aunty Hannah and when she challenged daddy, he laid a curse on me,” she said.
Pastor Atunde has been released by the police, they say they are investigating.
Buut a resident, who is an employee of the orphanage told Punch that, “After Atunde’s release, he hired some trucks to move the orphans to different locations so that if the state government shuts down the orphanage, he would still be able to operate directly or through a representative. “Atunde receives donations from banks, multinationals, churches and other members of the public and the smartest thing for him to do right now, is to relocate the children and open another orphanage in a different name if possible. Most of the girls were relocated to another property within the area while others were taken to the Shangisha area of Lagos State. The police should not have granted him a bail.”

When contacted, the Registrar of the College, Tunji Kanimodo, confirmed the story, adding that the students’ action was amazing.
Mr. Kanimodo told PREMIUM TIMES that the police had been informed that the girls were in the United Arab Emirates.
He said the students had paid their fees and registered for the ongoing academic session before they went missing; and the school authorities would wait for appropriate action by the police before it takes further actions.

Patrick Obahiagbon's Easter Message To Nigerians

As we join Christians in the celebration of Easter, may we truly reflect on the quintessential modus vivendi of Master Jesus; The Christ, who peregrinated this incarnation as an exempli gratia of self abnegation, puritanical excrescence, spartan discipline, mental magnitude, hierophantic candour and altruistic effusions, qualities which have become a desiderata for national resurgimento.
