APC to challenge Ondo Assembly results in court
The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has rejected the House of Assembly election in the state, saying it did not reflect the wishes of the citizens of the state. The was contained in a statement by the APC chairman, Isaac Kekemeke, in Akure on Tuesday.
Kekemeke said the results did not show the will of the people.
He said that the party would use every lawful means to retrive their stolen mandate. Kekemeke added that the voters in the state were induced and intimidated by thugs before the elections. His words, “Never in the history of Ondo State has any election been fraught with as much brigandage, armed thugs, open inducement of voters before and during the election.”
“The election witnessed ballot snatching and stuffing, open and shameless bribing of local election officials and ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, changing of election results , change of election venue and mass thumb printing.”
