Nigeria''s newly elected president Gen. Buhari has
confirmed the appointment of Rivers state governor
Rotimi Ameachi as the new chairman of Economic and
Financial crimes commission (EFCC).
The retired Army General sai
d the incumbent governor
was the only Nigerian with the wealth of experience to
fight corruption to a stand still.
In his acceptance speech, the governor described the
appointment as a call to serve and promised to go after
governors and their family members who embezzled
public funds.
