Teacher arrested for molesting a nine-year-old pupil

A 33-year-old school teacher at Nasarawa Annex primary school, Faskari local government area, has been arrested by the Katsina state police command for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old pupil.According to The reporter, the teacher identified as Hamisu Galadima, is said to be a serial rapist.

 He had reportedly lured the pupil into the staff room sometime in July and molested her. The alleged rapist was said to have threatened to beat the pupil up if she informed her parents or anybody in the school about the act. It was learnt that the victim later told her father,
Hashimu Mohammed, who reported the incident at the Faskari police division which led to Galadima’s arrest.

  He was subsequently arraigned before a Katsina magistrate’s court and was remanded in prison custody while the case was adjourned till September 26. A police source said the suspect was being investigated on five other rape cases. The source stated: “Presently, we are having five different first information report on Galadima on cases of rape apart from the one he appeared for at the magistrate’s court. “He has already been arraigned before three other magistrates in connection with rape cases.’’

 Meanwhile, the Katsina state police command has detained an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for molesting an 18-year-old girl. It was said that the officer had carnal knowledge of the girl at her father’s house in Yan-daki village, in Kaita local government of the state.
