Cristiano Ronaldo's sister says his split with Irina Shayk 'is like a death'

Elder sister of World Footballer of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo has described the Real Madrid player's split with his Russian model ex Irina Shayk 'like a death'.


            Ronaldo and Irina Shayk broke up at the end of 2014 after dating for five years and Irina Shayk recently hinted that her ex Cristiano Ronaldo made her feel 'ugly and insecure'.

Now Elma Aveiro Caires who is the elder sister of Ronaldo has shared her own view on the split.

Speaking to Correio da Manha, Elma compared the split to death but further revealed that her family are learning how to 'move forward and overcome' Shayk's departure from their lives.

"Irina is like a death. Suffered from the separation but we have to move forward and overcome,' Elma veiro Caires said.

Elma, who manages Cristiano’s designer store in their native Madeira in Portugal, she said her brother was coping just fine with life as a single man.

"He's fine with or without a woman on the side. He's happy," 41-year-old Elma Aveiro revealed.

"This separation was like a normal couple. Finished and ready. Finished and ready . Now is to move on," she added.
