Veteran apala singer Ayinla Omowura's son Akeem dies


The entertainment industry has lost a veteran Apala exponent, Alhaji Akeem Ayinla Omowura. Alhaji Akeem was the eldest son of the late Apala maestro Alhaji Ayinla Omowura. He gave up the ghost in the early hours of Monday, July 25, 2016. Omo Eegunmogaji as he was fondly called was said to have died few hours after complaining of severe headache.

 He was later buried same day in Abeokuta by 4 pm according to Islamic rites. He was well respected in Abeokuta, Ogun state as some of his father’s
fans still patronised him because he sounded so much like his late father. He was a socialite and always seen at the Itoko area of the town, the ancestral home of his late father. He was in his 60s. The entertainment industry has lost a couple of celebrities in the last two months. From OJB Jezreel to veteran actresses Henrietta Kosoko and Bukky Ajayi, comedian Felix Ochuko, DJ Cee and others.
