RELATIONSHIP :How to Talk to a Guy

How to Talk to a Guy
Sometimes it’s just not as easy to start a
conversation with boys as it is with girls and
you need some help. It can be awkward.

You’re not sure where you want it to go.
You’re nervous. But you want to start it right.
We know that feeling. Relax. Think about what
you’re going to say and talk directly to him.
It’s not so bad. It’s actually fun! Here are six
tips on how to talk to a guy.

1. Get Him to Talk About Himself
Guys like to talk about themselves. All people
do. One of the easiest ways to get to know a
boy is to ask him questions. You could ask,
"What did you think of that test this morning?"
or ask him about the team on his baseball cap
he’s wearing. Ask open-ended questions
instead of questions that could be answered
by a “yes” or “no.” Give him an opportunity to
expand his answers and provide his opinion.
Music, sports, TV shows and movies are also
good topics.

2. Use Laughter as Your Strategy
Laughter is contagious. A wise man once said,
"Laughter is the best medicine." and he was
right. When you're happy and laughing, it's
hard for others to not catch on. Let your sense
of humor shine. If making people laugh is not
one of your strengths, search the Internet for
jokes or fun anecdotes that you can practice to
bring up in the conversation.

3. Give Him a Chance to Talk
When we're nervous, we all tend to ramble.
Stealing a conversation and forgetting to ask
questions shows a person you're not
interested in hearing about them. Pause. Take
a deep breath and wait for him to participate
in the conversation.

4. Tell the Truth
Don't be so focused on impressing him that
you're tempted to lie or be someone else.
While we all tend to embellish the truth a bit,
you are much better being open, honest and
just being you. Lying about who you are will
come back to haunt you later on. Share the
parts of your life that are most rewarding:
your personal interests, your friends and your
family. Don't be afraid to talk about what you
do best. It's not showing off, it's sharing.

5. Try Flirting
Flirting is a great way to show someone you're
interested in getting to know them better. You
don't have to read a book to learn how to do
it. Flirtingis easy after you've tried it a few
times. It's harmless and fun. Be sure to make
eye contact and offer him a smile. You'll be
surprised how you'll naturally figure it out!

6. Be Confident
Gather up your courageand go and talk to
him. What's the worst that can happen?
Sometimes it just doesn’t click. Maybe you find
you’re no longer interested in him. If he’s not
interested in you, find someone else who is.
Learn from each conversation and try some
new things. Just make sure the boy you
approach is worthy of someone as special as
you.
Remember these tips and you’ll be ready for
the next time you’re together. You’ll easily
strike up a conversation — and maybe even hit
it off! You’ll be left wondering why you
thought it was so hard before. Go on. Try it
out and continue to improve yourself! Then
you’ll want to read this articleto find out if he
likes you!
