Husband sues wife because she lied about being pregnant

A frustrated husband has sued his wife after he found out that she had been lying to him about becoming pregnant and having miscarriages, Emirate247 reports.

According to documents filed in a Dubai court in the United Arab Emirates, the man's demand for a compensation to the tune of Dh2 million ($544,000), was thrown out by the court.

In the lawsuit, the man said he had been married to his wife for 11 years without knowing that she was infertile.

A few years after the marriage, the man decided to marry another woman, and his wife left the home.

Before getting married to his second wife, his wife sent him medical reports, showing that she was pregnant. The man then canceled plans to marry the second wife and brought back his first wife.

After a while, she told him she had a miscarriage. A few years later, the wife claimed to be pregnant and miscarried again. The circle continued for a while till the man carried out a discreet investigation into his wife's fertility and was shocked to discover that he had been conned many times by his infertile wife. And he decided to go to court.

The husband claimed that he suffered psychological and financial harm because of his wife’s false claims of pregnancy. He also demanded the return of money spent for treatment.
