The deranged Munich shooter that killed nine during a bloody rampage bought his gun on the dark web as part of year-long plot.
Baby-faced gunman Ali Sonboldy, 18, opened fire near a busy shopping mall and McDonald's restaurant on Friday evening, reportedly in revenge for years of bullying.
Seven of his victims were themselves teenagers, who he lured to their deaths after hacking a girl's Facebook account and offering free food from McDonald's.
Although Sonboldy was believed to have carried out the attack after years of bullying, the victims are not believed to be his classmates.
He added that the gun had its serial number scratched off but appeared to have originated in Slovakia and had been reactivated.
Part of the initial findings from the Bavarian Criminal Police Office found that the 18-year-old German-Iranian could have been plotting his attack for a year after visiting the site of a previous school shooting.
Between July and September last year he was hospitalised and under the care of a specialist youth psychiatrist.
Police said medical documents and drugs showed that the last contact he appeared to have with a doctor was in June this year.
As the first pictures of those killed emerged it was revealed one brave victim, Huseyin Dayicik,19, managed to save his sister's life when used his body as a human shield.
