Nollywood actors join campaign against human trafficking

Nollywood actors, under the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), on Thursday launched anti-trafficking campaign to mark this year’s World Day against Trafficking in Persons.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that actors from across the country gathered at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja for the opening rally of the two-day campaign.

Man abandons wife, rescues mother from flood

A Chinese man is facing backlash on social media following a spur-of-the-moment decision he made when faced with a grave situation. According to reports, the man identified as Gao Fengshou, decided to save his mother first before saving his wife and children, when their province was hit by a deadly flood on July 20. Fengshou who is a decorator by profession, had reportedly asked his family to climb onto the roof of their Xingtai, North Hebei province of China home, before going off to rescue his mother.

Actress says job won’t hinder time with her kids

Nollywood actress, Taiwo Aromokun, has declared that she won’t allow her career as an actress, to hinder the amount of time she spends with her children.
Aromokun, whose twins recently clocked three, told Punch News that any movie project she gets involved in must be the type that allows her to return to her kids.


The actress, who also revealed that her little babies do not have any reason to miss their father, because they interact with him often.
“Acting is a demanding career. I am taking my time and only doing jobs that will give me time for my boys. When we go on locations, we spend days before coming home but for now, that is not what I want for my kids.”

The former glamour model went on to claim that the couple have moved past Kieran's infidelity and are stronger than ever.

Police tell teens attending illegal raves is 'not worth it'

Police have warned teens that attending illegal raves could have a "serious impact" on their future after arresting seven people following disorder at a London McDonald's.

The fast food restaurant in Marble Arch was ransacked by a group of youths - with some jumping over the counter and sending terrified staff fleeing.

Detectives have arrested seven people in connection with the incident, after releasing 12 images of people officers wished to identify.

Some involved in the incident were believed to have attended an earlier rave in east London.
